Introducing HomeDock OS Desktop for Windows and macOS

This week, we’re proud to announce a major milestone in the evolution of HomeDock OS ecosystem, the private cloud system we’ve been building: HomeDock OS Desktop is now available for Windows and macOS.

Thanks to HomeDock OS Desktop, anyone can now install a secure, private cloud on their own computer without needing a VPS, a Raspberry Pi, or even Docker pre-installed. We’re not just turning your computer into a server, we’re turning it into a fully functional, self-hosted private cloud. Period.

Under the hood it sets up everything, Python, container engines (WSL2 or Lima/Colima), dependencies, dynamic DNS, native HTTPS support if enabled, encrypted cloud storage… All wrapped in a clean and intuitive interface.
