Planchette is an AI-powered spirit board that runs entirely on your machine. Ask a question and watch the planchette glide across the board, spelling out responses letter by letter. It’s powered by Ouija2-1.7B, a custom fine-tuned model based on Qwen3 1.7B, trained with LoRA on 1,000 curated examples and quantized to Q4_K_M (~1.1 GB), available on Hugging Face. No internet and no API keys after the initial model download.

Built with React, Flask, and llama-cpp-python, Planchette delivers real-time streaming responses with cinematic board effects including shaking, glowing, and flickering animations that react to the tone of each answer. It supports GPU acceleration with automatic CPU fallback, making it accessible on virtually any hardware. The entire experience is self-hosted, private, and designed purely for entertainment.
